What we do
We train humanitarian and development professionals to find and use open-source geo-tagged data and using QGIS (a free and open-source software) create informative custom maps.
WHY MAPS
Maps show what is happening where. Representing information visually makes it manageable. We take multiple databases, harmonise them, and present them so you can see the trends that matter.
HOW WE TEACH
We show you where to find public geo data collected through OpenStreetMap. Then, we show you to import this data, manipulate it and export it to make a custom map.
WHY LIVE IS BETTER
Our classes are with a real, live human. It’s a steep learning curve alone. Our live, collaborative classes ensure that you learn to map with QGIS, have fun and apply your learning to real life.
IT’S EASIER THAN YOU THINK
Yes, mapping is a skill to learn but anyone can learn it! You’ll leave class feeling empowered to make your maps and wondering why you didn’t try this sooner.

What sets us apart
THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
We know the humanitarian sector and the
development sector. We also know maps. We
bring these two skill set together to highlight the
information that’s important to you.
We avoid jargon, long acronyms and complexifying information that could be simple. Our philiosophy is to simplify and this comes through in our training and deliverables.

PROFESSIONAL AND FLEXIBLE
Detail oriented and professional, we create
projects with you and stick to our timeline. But,
we’re also flexible in adapting to changing
contexts and will stick with you from start to
finish.
SAFE AND SECURE
We understand that data is sensitive. That’s why
when we use your data, we adhere to GDPR
regulations.
